Elvis (Negative Space)

Elvis, 2010, charcoal on paper, 18 x24;

I really enjoyed putting this image together.  Created for my third home work assignment, I managed to finish it in a single day.  The paper I worked on was white, so everything that is black is the charcoal.  I had to work on the balcony in order to save our apartment from the charcoal snow.  This image also had a slightly deeper social and symbolic meaning as well. The shock of a white man performing blues/rock 'n' roll music, and thus entering another world.
